ChiroHealthCare Ltd. specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems such as neck and back pain, including pain related to sports and work-related injuries, and treatment of various illnesses.

ChiroHealthCare Ltd. provides chiropractic treatment of:

Back Pain

Back pain is abnormal discomfort as a result of some degree of trauma to the spine, nerves, muscles, ligaments, or discs between the vertebrae.

Neck Pain

Neck pain arises due to joint disruption or muscular tightness in the neck and upper back. It also can be caused by the pinching of the nerves that originate in the cervical vertebrae.

Pain within in the head can be traced to neck and cranial bone misalignments or to sinus difficulties, injuries, and food allergies. Other neck-related symptoms also can contribute to this discomfort.

Sports Injuries and Work Injuries

Injuries resulting from acute trauma or repetitive stress associated with athletic or work activities affect bones or soft tissue (ligaments, muscles, tendons). Common injuries include bruises (contusions), sprains, strains, and inflammation.

Shoulder and Arm Pain

The extremely mobile shoulder joint plays a central role in the action of a major extremity – the arm. Shoulder and arm pain can result from injury, trauma, or disease. An injury can involve the ligaments, tendons, or bursae (the anatomical sac containing fluid that facilitates motion between a tendon and a bone) surrounding the shoulder joint, cartilage, meniscus, bones, or nerves of the joint so that the pain extends through the arm.

Numbness in the Hands and Feet

Numbness or tingling are frequently caused by nerve impingements in the spine. Subluxation (misalignment) or herniation (protrusion) of the bones of the spine causes pressure on the nerves, resulting in abnormal sensations.

When a disc is herniated, pain from irritation or inflammation of the sciatic nerve can be felt from the low back to behind the thigh, radiating downward below the knee.

Bulging Discs

Chronic poor posture or repetitive straining from bending, lifting, or twisting causes the tough outer fibers of the spinal disc to weaken and stretch beyond normal position due. The resulting bulging disc can pinch the nerves, creating uncomfortable and debilitating symptoms. A bulging disc also is recognized as the first step toward a herniated disc, a more serious problem in which the outer layers weaken to the point of actual tearing.

Arthritis is the inflammation of a joint characterized by swelling, pain, and stiffness resulting from trauma, degenerative changes, disease, infection to the joint, or simple daily wear and tear. Various forms include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid, or bacterial arthritis.

Whiplash is a hyperextension injury to the neck that often results from a forceful strike from behind, as in a car accident. Whiplash can occur when the body is physically accelerated forward, but the head remains momentarily behind. As the contracted muscles rock the head forward again, some muscles and ligaments may be stretched or torn.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Pressure on the median nerve of the wrist, which supplies feeling and movement to parts of the hand, is the cause of this repetitive stress injury. Consistent pressure from repetitive motions of the hand and wrist leads to numbness, tingling, weakness, or muscle damage in the hand and fingers.

Foot Pain

The sensation of discomfort in the foot can arise from inflammation or injury to any of the structures in the foot (bones, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, or connective tissue), causing improper function in the toes, the ball of the foot, the arch, the instep, the sole, the heel, and/or the ankle.

TMJ Pain

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder affects the jaw joint, resulting in muscle spasms and pain. Symptoms include clicking and audible popping in the jaw that causes headaches, ear problems, difficulty opening and closing the mouth, or locking of the jaw.
